In Memoriam:  Bill Herber

Minneapolis, June 27, 2017 — It is with deep sadness we announce the death of our shareholder Bill Herber, who passed away surrounded with love by friends and family.  For 35 years, Bill dedicated his professional career to Shenehon Company.  Bill served as executive vice president and managing director of the business valuation division, during which he prepared thousands of business appraisals; provided litigation support; was frequently retained as an expert witness in business valuation matters; testified in federal, state, and district courts; and regularly spoke at local valuation conferences. Bill was regarded as an expert in his field, with specific distinction for expertise in valuing intangible assets, fractional equity interests, holding companies, and special use properties.  Perhaps more importantly, Bill was a wise and gentle leader, a beloved friend, and a committed family man.  Bill loved Shenehon and graced us with his presence until his last days.  He will be greatly missed.

In his honor, we will continue our dedication to quality valuation and excellent service at Shenehon, but henceforth with a little extra gumption as we carry on Bill’s legacy.
